“Electrospray Droplet” by David Schiessel
Why ρευμα? ISOREVMAL!!
In analytical chemistry we have terms like isobaric, isothermal, and isocratic to describe special conditions; constant pressure, temperature, and strength(elution) respectively. In an attempt to find the term for constant flow it was discovered that no term existed. It's common to use constant flow conditions during GC and LC separations but there is no specific term for it. So a protolog was coined in late 2014 by David Schiessel (Isorevmal)!! This site was then named after the root word; it’s short and easy to remember.
The coined term literally means “constant stream”
Revma also has a double meaning because this database has one function in particular; a REVerse Method-Analyte search function.
